Résumé

Letter of appeal for charity from Yiṣḥaq ha-Kohen Nafūsī to Moshe Tifʾeret ha-Kohanim. He states that he is an old man from Nafūsa (Libya) and that he was a short time in Alexandria when a riding animal threw him off. He is now recuperating (marmiyy, "prostrate") in the "great synagogue" (al-kanīsa al-kabīra) and is unable to work. (Information in part from Goitein's attached notes.)
